Approach

How sessions unfold, what the working relationship looks like, and what you can reasonably expect.

01Therapeutic philosophy

Therapeutic philosophy

The work is grounded in evidence-based psychology, drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioural, schema-focused, and psychodynamic traditions. The method used is chosen for the person, not the other way around.

02The working relationship

The working relationship

Meaningful psychological work depends on a relationship of trust. Sessions are confidential, unhurried, and free from any pressure toward a particular outcome. You set the pace; the psychologist offers structure, perspective, and — where appropriate — evidence-based techniques.

03What to expect

What to expect

The first one or two sessions are used to understand your situation and to decide together whether the practice is the right fit. From there, sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly, for as long as they remain useful. There is no minimum commitment, and no promise of a specific result — only a considered effort to help you think and act more clearly.
